Sweet Berry comes from a handful of small farms located on the hills of the city of Medellin. After the best berries are harvested at their optimal point of ripeness any overripe beans are removed via a floating process and the remaining are fermented for 300 hours. After fermentation, it is dried in the sun for approximately 3 weeks.
After much love is put into these beans, the farmers are able to sell them for over 45% above the FNC fair market buy rate. Additionally, these farmers no longer need to commute extreme distances and have opportunities to make a living much closer to home.
